Stimulus Package Conundrum

Last year I made the mistake of checking the box stating that someone else could claim me as a dependent while doing taxes. I made too much and am too old for that to be true, but my tax refund went thru even though nobody could claim me. I never filed a 1040x to fix it because my parents said I had already gotten a total return, and that doing so would just be a hassle.

Now I am wondering if I can get the stimulus package. Or if checking that little box just screwed me out of $1200?

Amend 2018. It is rather easy to do.

I guess that means I'm alright? That tool doesn't say anything about they grey area between being claimed, and saying you're able to be claimed. But I was unclaimed so I'm just going to stop worrying about it until I have to.

Would amending 2018 help? 2019 Is the one I messed up.
