Amended return for deceased relative

I had to amend my deceased mothers tax return for 2029. Because she had K-1 schedules I had to upgrade to cont amending her return. Now I'm ready to print and send the amended return but turbotax will not let me proceed until the upgrade is laid. I am unable to pay for the upgrade until the tax return is received. Can I still print out the amended return so I can get it mailed out?

I'm so sorry for your loss.

No, you can't print out the amended return if you used a lower version of TurboTax and now you've upgraded to the Premier version, without first paying for the upgrade.

However, if the Adjusted Gross Income is $36,000 or less, you may qualify for the IRS Free File Program delivered by TurboTax .

It's geared towards lower-income filers, regardless of tax return complexity, and is only offered through the IRS Free File Alliance (FFA) program. No upgrades are available.
