Thanks to for pointing that out, ThomasM125.

A follow up issue I have come across: I live in CA and found the "estimated state taxes" section to calculate payments, but the amount seems way off. I have a new employed W2 position that I started in Jan 2020, but I will earn about $22,000 gross from 1099 income for the year 2020 from an independent contractor position that I left at end of 2019. Turbotax is estimating that I will owe about $12,000 in taxes to the state of CA in 2020. This seems like way too much! Have I made an error somewhere? Any help much appreciated!

Hi,

Is there a way to go back into my 2019 tax return in order to calculate and submit estimated tax payments for 1099 income in 2020? I can't seem to find this as an option on my TurboTax when I go to "amend my return" (Mac, Home & Business edition). I completely forgot to do this and have already filed my 2019 tax refund. Thank you!

You should see an option for "Form W-4 and estimated taxes" in the "Other Tax Situations" menu option in TurboTax, that is where you generate your estimated tax coupons.
