TurboTax doesn't file your tax return until you choose to file them. To do that, you must go completely through the interview until you get to the place where you click on the icon that says, "Transmit My Return". Have you done that? Once your return has been successfully transmitted, you'll receive an email from TurboTax to notify you of that. Then, you'll need to watch your email for an "Accepted" response. This indicates that the IRS has accepted your tax return as filed.
