Amending my 2019 return

I filed my taxes. I ended up with an error. I never recieved my letter from the IRS to know what or how I need to fix the error. I assumed it was bc I used my last paytub instead of my W2. I amended my taxes based on what my W2 states. Is it a good idea to send it in even though I am not sure that's the reason why? And will I still qualify for the stimulus check even though I had to amend my taxes?
