Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted?

You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section.  In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

Thank you both for responding so promptly! I checked the link which should confirm if the e-file was accepted or rejected. Apparently it does not have anything related with my social + zip code. According to my turbotax status I am expecting 1,100.00 $ Federal. So because this is my first time using turbotax, I would just like to know if I should be patient or if there is a step that I missed.

You elected the option to "print and mail" your tax return. That's why the status says "Ready to Mail". So until you do one of two things, your tax return is not filed.
- Either you print, sign and mail the return to the IRS, or:
- You work back through the review section again, change your selection to e-file and work it through to the screen with the big orange "TRANSMIT RETURNS NOW" button on it, and click that button.
