    <description>&lt;P&gt;No, the amount owed on the amended return will not be deducted from your refund.&amp;nbsp; The are processed separately.&amp;nbsp; You should not amend a return until your original return has been fully processed (received refund or taxes owed withdrawn).&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;On the amended return it should show the amount from your original return, then the program will calculate the difference to be either additional taxes owed or an additional refund.&amp;nbsp; Amended returns must be mailed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
