https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

To track your state refund:

https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund

On the IRS site you are also offered the use of an app called IRS2Go

https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901548-why-do-some-refunds-take-longer-than-others

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

Did NOT help. Let me be a little more clear; The IRS2go app says that my returns was RECEIVED on March 15th. It STILL has NOT been Approved.

So when You are responding and say that once the IRS has "accepted" my return : what exactly are you saying: Cause if you are meaning "accepted" is the same as "approved" : then I am really worried. I have, in the past , always gotten "approved" within a couple days of the IRS receiving my taxes. It has now been OVER 2 weeks since they "received "them, but they still are NOT APPROVED. What is going on?????

And this is just Federal. I have no idea what is going on with my State tax returns. I owe them and a chunk of money is coming out of my checking on April 7th . that money was supposed to come out of the refund I am getting from the Feds.

This is really worrying me and stressing me out.

Andrew

"Accepted" means there was enough data on the return for the IRS to take it in for processing. "Approved" is a later step---they review it and make sure you do not owe back child support, back taxes, etc. before they approve of issuing the refund.

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/return-status/help/does-accepted-mean-my-refund-is-approved/00/26514

Your 2 week wait may be longer than you have experienced in the past, but two weeks is not at all unusual--in fact, it is a short time. 9 out of 10 returns are processed within 21 days. There is not a way to speed up the process. Watch the IRS site for the status of your refund.
