Did I REALLY File?

This year I had to mail my taxes out. I did so on February 2nd & I’m still waiting for them. I even check to see if I can track my refund on the irs site & they don’t have anything. When I look on my taxes on the turbo tax site it still says “Ready To Mail”. Did I have to confirm that I mailed them out? Did the irs even get my info?

Turbo Tax will always say Ready to Mail. They don't know when or if you actually mailed it and the IRS doesn't tell or update Turbo Tax when they get your return.

4 weeks after mailing you can start checking IRS Where's my refund

Did you get a tracking number from the post office? And mail federal and state in separate envelopes to different places?

I did the latter. I didn’t get a tracking number, I sent the letters out from my home mailbox & not from the post office. A fail in my end.
