After filing my taxes, status is 'Ready to mail.'What does it mean?

I had filed my taxes online with turbo tax about a month a go. and since I live abroad, I didn't have the option to 'e-file.' The service advised me to pay $40 in order for turbotax to mail it to IRS. it has been 1 month now and my status still says 'Ready to mail.' could someone tell me if my taxed will be mailed by turbo taxes or this means I had to mail to IRS myself. also, it's no possible to speak to a spcecialist. everytime I called, the machine would try to confuse me and wouldn't go through to a specialist. I am so frustrated. please help!

Sorry but Printed or Ready to Mail means you have to actually print out your tax return and mail it to the IRS or state yourself. So it has not been filed yet. And it will always say Ready to Mail. Turbo Tax doesn’t know if or when you mailed it and the IRS doesn’t update Turbo Tax when they get your mailed return. You can try to switch to efile. Click on Add a State to let you back into your retun.

Important! Mail Federal and State in separate envelopes and mail each year in separate envelopes.

Thanks. but as I remembered, I was informed to pay $40 because they said 'don't worry, we would mail it for you.' if it's true as what you said, turbo tax lied and I am not happy about this.

Did you pay $40 total? You are in Deluxe. It was $40 before March 1 ($60 now). Then state was another 40. The Online fees are to prepare the return whether you efile or print and mail. It would not have said "...we will mail it for you..." Maybe it would help you mail it.
