    <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm having the same problem today.&amp;nbsp; I was able to successfully transmit my federal return, and went back in after the IRS accepted it, but am still unable to transmit the MA return.&amp;nbsp; Hopefully there will be an update soon for MA that will allow me to transmit that.&amp;nbsp; I'm hoping that Turbo Tax will be refunding us for any state efiles that we paid for but will not go through.&amp;nbsp; Thank you for the suggestion of filing the federal return first.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Unable to Transmit Return</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a Windows 10 Pro computer (fully updated) and TurboTax Deluxe 2019. I have completed my taxes and TurboTax has verified the taxes as being completed. I am trying to transmit my returns. When I click on the "Transmit Returns Now" button, it states:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;"There is an update available for your version of TurboTax. Before you can file electronically, you'll need to get this update. To do this, go to the Online menu and select Check for Updates." (This is repeated twice in the box.)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I go to check for updates, the Updater responds "Your software is up to date."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have saved the file and exited TurboTax and when I reopen the file, the same thing happens. I have rebooted the computer and tried. The same thing happens (did this twice). I shut down the computer, let it sit for a minute, re-started the computer, opened TurboTax and tried again, and the same thing happens.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What do I need to do to file my taxes electronically?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you for your help.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've had the same issues today as well.&amp;nbsp; I decided to just try to transmit my Federal returns, and that worked.&amp;nbsp; When I tried to file my NYS return, I received the same message about updates needed.&amp;nbsp; I was able to transmit my daughter's fed and state returns about 5 days ago.&amp;nbsp; Must be a glitch in the state update.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Similar issue here. As suggested I submitted my Federal return separately and that worked fine. I exited turbotax and tried to resubmit my state (NY) return and received the same error message.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Definitely seems like a glitch submitting state returns.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I will try again later.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;It is highly regrettable that the FAQ cited is the most abysmal description of what to do for an internal software error in the product.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As I mentioned above, after 6 hours, I re-opened TurboTax and it updated both my Massachusetts and New York returns. Once it did that, I was able to submit my Federal and state returns.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;it is obviously a flagging issue in the software based on my experience and that described by the other users. TurboTax should recognize that there is a software error and not simply assume that it is a user or user’s computer error.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Your comments were super helpful.&amp;nbsp; Have been encountering the same issue after restarting the application, etc. I ended up just transmitting my Federal.&amp;nbsp; I will have to go back and try NY State again at a later time. Seems to be the blocker.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
