I filed my daughter’s return and forgot to mark that she will be claimed as a dependent. This caused my return to be rejected. I went back a filled out an amended return for her, but how can I get mine accepted if it takes 8-20 weeks for the IRS to review her amended return? I am sitting here waiting

You will not be able to e-file for 2019. The amended return will never "catch up" -- you will have to print, sign and mail your own return this time.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Okay, thank you. Shall I mail both my daughters and mine at the same time or should I wait on mine and send hers first in order for hers to be corrected? I didnt want them to ‘correct’ mine and adjust my return amount because she’s not listed as a dependent yet.

Mail them in separate envelopes. You daughter's amended return will take about 4 months for them to process. You can mail yours in any time.

Awesome! Thank you for your responses.

One last question... Since Im filing by mail now, how long for the direct deposit to go through after accepted? Is it about the same as e-filing?

Thanks in advance
