Should I wait until my return has been issued to submit an amendment? Or can I amend anytime?

Yes you should wait until your original return is fully processed and you get the first refund before you amend. The IRS might change your return. Why do you need to amend?

Thank you for the info. I forgot to include what I earned from unemployment benefits last year.
