How could you update your direct deposit after filing due to the account was hacked and you got a whole new direct deposit

Since you have already filed your taxes, there is nothing you can do. If the info you provided is for a closed or invalid account, the government will mail you a refund check.

Four years ago I accidentally had my refund sent to my Walmart card that just expired. I had to call green dot bank and have the money sent back to irs then it was sent as a check. Totally my fault and it took months to fix.

How much longer does it take to receive the check? If it gets sent to a closed account?
