When I check WMR, do i type in the federal amount or my state + federal amount ?

To check your status on the IRS Where's My Refund site you'll need:

Your social security number
Your filing status
Your exact amount of your federal return only.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
