I and my spouse have multiple college attended in 2019. So, we have 4 1098T. One of them was in pdf version, I uploaded it and rest I manually entered data. But, it was rejected saying "/Return/ReturnData/IRS8863/StudentAndEducationalInstnGrp/EducationalInstitutionGroup/PriorYear1098TReceivedInd - This return could not be processed for e-filing due to incorrect or missing information"

I also checked the question asked on turbo tax forum:

And the gist of this thread is "I would recommend that you try deleting all your form 1098T's and re-entering only the ones that are valid for 2019"

All of our 4 1098Ts are valid for 2019. Was it rejected because we have 4 1098Ts form. What is better option here, upload all pdf? or manually enter all data?

Manually enter all four 1098-Ts. You also have to enter all four Schools, with their correct addresses and EINs.

You enter the Student First, then the School, then link the 1098-T to the school.

I am having the same issue. I've deleted all the 1098-T's and reentered them twice, but my efile is still being rejected. This is a little ridiculous. I paid to efile. I switched from H&R Block because people said Turbotax is easier and cheaper, but I think I'm switching back next year.

You may need to delete the 1098-T forms by going directly to the forms as follows:

1. Find the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar and click on it

2. Click on Tools

3. Find Delete a Form and click on it

4. Look for form 1098-T in the list of forms and click on the option to delete it

/Return/ReturnData/IRS8863/StudentAndEducationalInstnGrp/EducationalInstitutionGroup/PriorYear1098TReceivedInd - This return could not be processed for e-filing due to incorrect or missing information. I have followed the instructions and still get the error above. How do i get this error to clear.. I pass all the checks before sending the return. I have triple checked the info and removed the 1098T 's multiple times only to get the error again.

As a last resort, you might try deleting the IRS Form 8863 and re-inputting. Please see the TurboTax Help article "How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online?" for guidance.

If that doesn’t do the trick, you may have to settle for printing and mailing your return.
