A Mac download is not required to amend a 2018 online tax return. You amend the 2018 return online.

You have to download TurboTax desktop 2018 to amend the return, and the links are only for windows.

As stated in the Support FAQ for amending a 2018 online tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-topics/help/how-do-i-amend-my-2018-turbotax-online-return/01/961385

Sign in to TurboTax.
Scroll down to Your tax return & documents (you may need to select Show), select 2018 and then Amend (change) return.
- If you only see the option to amend 2017 or earlier, it's because you can't amend an unfiled 2018 return. Instead, just select Pick up where you left off, make your changes, and disregard the rest of these instructions.
Select Amend using TurboTax Online.
Carefully follow the instructions. Don't worry if your refund changes to $0. This is normal on amended returns.

If you do not see the option - Amend using TurboTax Online. Contact TurboTax support for assistance. All 2018 online tax returns can now be amended online, not with the amend software.

There is not an option to amend online. Just the instructions I provided above. You cannot speak to representative when you call the numbers provided.

On the contact website edit the program being used to CD/Download and the Edition being used to Deluxe.

On the following screen enter your information for receiving a phone call. Then click on the blue button labeled Get Phone Number

I filed my 2017 & 2018 with Turbotax and I need to amend both years. I can choose MAC version for 2017 but not 2018? what's going on?

That is incorrect. I still can not amend my 2018 at all and it still only shows Windows version-no MAc version.

Which version are you trying to purchase? I see at this link: https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/ the deluxe, premiere, and home and business have MAC versions but Business version for Corporation, partnership and trusts does not.

The link pointing to Select Amend using TurboTax Online in the FAQ for amending a 2018 tax return does not exist on the Tax Home web page.

Reported to TurboTax Moderators.

Contact TurboTax support and request a download of the 2018 Mac desktop software so that you can amend the 2018 online tax return. There should be no charge to you for the Mac download.

No, there is no option for MAC so not able to choose Basic or Business. Also, I was told yesterday as with my 2017 which I amended with no issues, it is Free to amend.

Yep I did--also spent 1 hr this morning with a Turbo Live person, it did not work. I finally gave up and downloaded the Turbo Basic for Mac and that finally downloaded, however when the 2018 edition launched my w-2 from 2018 was not imported directly like my 2017 was. They wanted to me start from scratch? made no sense-I had absolutely no issues amending my 2017.
