Cannot view 2019 tax return

I Just filed by 2019 Tax Return. On Tax Home i select Print/Download Tax Return but PDF only shows instructions for printing. The Tax Return cannot be downloaded. Please help.

Unable to view or print my 2019 tax return. If I select download I get a form that is unreadable (a bunch of letters, symbols, etc).

You need a PDF reader to read it.

1) if the file downloaded with the file extension ".tax2019" then that is the wrong file...you downloaded the datafile...go back and find the PDF file.

2) if the file extension is ".txt" then edit the filename to be ".pdf" and it should then read/open OK with a normal PDF reader. A PDF download that comes down with a ".txt" extension is problem with some EDGE browsers...either change the extension after downloading, or use Chrome or IE11 to download the file instead.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2019 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
