Would you specify what total amount you are referring to when you say total amount receiving back? Are referring to the sum of your federal tax refund and your state tax refund?

Turbo Tax will calculate your tax refund as you go. Once each return is completed, the total amount will be found at the very top. Since your federal and state tax refunds are processed by 2 different agencies, Turbotax will not combine the 2 refunds together.

If turbotax processes refunds separately how does one go about getting the state refund?
