Note: Every year, before mid-October, print a copy of your current year tax return and save it as a tax file and pdf, too. That way you will have it when you need it for school, a loan, next year’s tax return, etc. without going through a lot of aggravation (and expense) to get it.

I need some one to re send 2016 taxes to the irs they did not receive them when I filled them with turbo tax

Did you use the online version or the CD download version for 2016?

No one else can re-send your tax return for you. If you used the online software then you need to access your account and then print, sign and mail your 2016 tax return yourself. It cannot be e-filed. (Only a 2018 return can be e-filed.)

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return.

If you used the desktop software (downloaded or installed from a CD) then the tax file is on your own hard drive. Open up the program and print out the return for mailing.

If you used TurboTax to prepare your 2016 tax return, you can access a copy of your return by following these steps:

Click on Tax Home from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen
Scroll down and click on "Show" to the right of Your Tax Returns & Documents at the bottom of the screen.
Choose the tax year you want and then select Download PDF

If you did not use TurboTax you can request a copy of your tax return by clicking on the following link.
