why can't I open my 2019 Premier when I try to open it ask to update then it won't update I get error 20917683101

if 2019 for 2018 returns and you bought from a legitimate site, contact turbo tax support. on the other had if it's for 2019 returns or you bought from an unauthorized website, you got taken.

Since the TurboTax desktop software for tax year 2019 has not been released, what software are you trying to open?

TurboTax supports software for prior tax years 2018 thru 2016. When installing the software on a personal computer, either Windows or Mac, the program will attempt to download the latest release of the software through the internet.

What is the error code you are receiving?

Purchased 2019 TT from Office Depot. However, downloaded from website using code in purchased software about 10 days ago. It opened fine, updated, I even input a tax return. Opened TT today, it wanted to update but just froze up. There is an updater window showing <1 minute left, but it never downloaded anything. Had to reboot to leave program. What's UP???
