Am I the only person who think's its ridiculous that Turbo Tax charges $30 just to speak with a representative?

I'm not sure what kind of customer service they are running, but it is NOT okay to force customers to pay $30 just to speak with a person!! And the worst part is, 95% of the questions cannot be answered by the robot on the phone, so you HAVE to pay extra. Paying extra just to speak with someone!! Insane! I need to stop using this service.

I'm trying to get in contact with someone because I just realized, looking back at a 2018 paycheck, that I was getting taxed New York City taxes even though I don't live in NYC. I work in NYC, but I don't live here, yet I was getting taxes taken out every week. I corrected it just recently, but need to know if there's a way I can get that money back from 2018!

Phone support is not provided with the Free Edition. If you are using a paid version of the software or if you purchased PLUS (for $19.99) you can get phone support when customer support is there.

why do you think you do not owe NYC taxes? just because you don't live there, doesn't mean you don't owe taxes based on your job location.

where do you live? (what state?)
