You can direct deposit your refund into 2 accounts in TurboTax. When you are entering your direct deposit information, scroll to the bottom of the screen and look for a checkbox that says "I would like to split my refund into more than one account." Choose this option then "I want to split my refund into more than one account" You will then be able to enter your information to deposit your refund into 2 accounts.

I'm trying the same thing. It said to pay for it by credit card for the option to be available and I did that. Still no option. However, it did let me do it on one return (tax professional) when I went to setup the U.S. savings bond. That's the only place it allowed multiple accounts.

You can split a direct-deposited refund into 2 or 3 different accounts unless you're using the Pay With My Refund option to pay your TurboTax fees. See the instructions below.

To split your refund in TurboTax Online, you'll need to choose the credit card payment option (assuming you're not filing for free).

If you chose the Pay With My Refund option, follow these directions to change your payment method, then come back here.

When you get to the How would you like to receive your federal refund? screen, select the last option Split my refund between multiple bank accounts or U.S. savings bonds, then select Continue.
On the next screen, select I want to deposit my federal refund into multiple bank accounts and select Continue.
Enter the amount you want to go to the first account and then information the account information. When finished, select Add another bank account.
You can split your refund between as many as three accounts. When you're finished entering your account information, select Continue.
Review your bank information and deposit amounts and select Continue if all looks well. If you need to make changes, select Edit next to the entry you need to modify.

You can also use this method to put some of your refund in U.S. Series I savings bonds.
