If you prepared them using the TurboTax online product, here is how to access them:

To get back into your return after printing or e-filing, please follow these steps:
1. In TurboTax Online, sign into your account.
2. Select Tax Home in the left menu.
3. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.
4. Select 2018, and then select Add a State (You're not actually adding a state, this just gets you into the right menu).
5. Once you're in your return you can navigate around as usual.

https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/3355524-when-does-access-to-my-prior-year-turbotax-online-returns-expire

If you used the CD/download product to prepare your returns, the only copy of those returns would be on your computer or on a separate storage device if you saved copies to such a device.

You are always recommended to save a pdf of your tax return to your computer. Did you not do that?

I downloaded Turbotax and filled out a return for my son. I filed the return and he received his refund. However, I can not find a copy of that return saved on my desktop PC. I filed and saved my own return and another son's return. I can find both of them, but cannot find one for michael patrick worden, or 2108 worden mp, or other variations. Can I retrieve a copy, or does he need to, even though he did not prepare it?

If you prepared them using the TurboTax online product, here is how to access them:

To get back into your return after printing or e-filing, please follow these steps:
1. In TurboTax Online, sign into your account.
2. Select Tax Home in the left menu.
3. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.
4. Select 2019, and then select Add a State (You're not actually adding a state, this just gets you into the right menu).
5. Once you're in your return you can navigate around as usual.

https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/3355524-when-does-access-to-my-prior-year-turbotax-online-returns-expire

I hope you can help me. When I log into my account the system wants me to start this years tax returns but I'm not ready for that. I actually want to view the last couple of years of tax returns. The problem is that I don't have the 'Documents' button the left hand side to access them. So I called Turbo Tax and somehow was able to speak with someone and they told me to fill out an account recovery ticket saying I had duplicate accounts. I knew this wasn't the case because the system saw I had filed last year and showed very high level details. But I did as they suggested and sure enough received a response that I don't have a duplicate account. I have now tried calling 5 numbers and cannot speak to a live person and still cannot access my last couple of years tax returns!!! How do I either access my past returns or talk to a live person??? Thanks!

@russellclan3 If you used the TurboTax Free online edition in 2019 then you do have to start a 2019 tax return with the Free online edition and then just Register the 2019 Free edition so that you will have access to the prior year returns. You do not have to file a 2019 tax return.

If you haven't chosen yet, pick the product that is right for you (if you aren’t sure, select TurboTax Free Edition) when starting.

Follow the screens and provide some personal info.

When you've reached the Personal info summary screen, select Continue.

Select File in the left menu (this is just a step in order to register or pay, you won’t actually be filing).

Continue until you get to Review your order and select Start.

Select View payment options.

Register or pay for TurboTax, depending on which version you're using.

Go to Tax Home in the left menu.

Under Your tax returns & documents, go to Download/print return (PDF) (select Show if not visible).
