Hi I filed my admended taxes on Feb 28 2019 I mailed it March 8th and I haven't heard or seen anything I received my state but not the federal I checked the IRS website and haven't seen anything on there keeps saying the same thing your refund is not available . Check the date and allow up to 16 weeks

did you paper file the original? did you get proof of delivery? if not, it's possible it was never received unless you got the refund shown on it or paid the balance due which cleared the funding source. if the IRS never got the original it will hold the amended return until it receives the original

if the opposite is true, did you get proof of delivery for amended Federal? it can only be mailed not efiled.

call the IRS 800-829-1040

First choose your language.
Then 2
Then 1
Then 3
Then 2
You should then be transferred to an agent,

if a return is mailed TT forever will show waiting to mail as status

if efiled TT no updates once accepted.

Are you checking on the IRS site for amended returns--not the "regular" Where's My Refund site?

Wait about 3 weeks from mailing your Form 1040X and you can check the status of your amended return:
