    <description>&lt;P&gt;Your question is not clear.&amp;nbsp; Are you asking to prepare a 2016 state return?&amp;nbsp; If so, did you use TurboTax to prepare your 2016 federal return?&amp;nbsp; That would be the only way you would be able to then go back and prepare a 2016 state return.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;You cannot use TT to prepare a "stand alone" state return.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or are you looking for a copy of a 2016 state return that you prepared and want to understand how much it costs to access your prior year return?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please clarify your question.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Look in your account to see if the 2016 return shows as "accepted", "rejected" or "ready to mail" or "printed"&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If it says anything other than "accepted" then it was not filed and you still must print, sign and mail it to IL.&amp;nbsp; It is too late to e-file it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Or..&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Did you file the return but not pay the tax due to IL?&amp;nbsp; Do you have any bank/credit card records that show you paid IL?&amp;nbsp; A state tax due cannot be paid from a federal refund.&amp;nbsp; You have to pay the state by check or money order or pay on the state web site.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
