federal - irs website - view your account. state may have something similar. if not then the proof is the charge on your bank statement or credit card. if use used a money order or similar form of payment, you better have kept the receipt

Your proof that you paid a federal or state tax owed is your own bank/credit card records. And it is impossible to pay the state tax due from a federal refund. It is equally impossible to pay a federal tax owed from a state refund.
