This would depend on your financial institution. Most are closed on Sunday so it is rare to have any deposit on a Sunday.

Once your refund is approved you will see a deposit date by visiting the Where's my refund website here, https://www.irs.gov/refunds . This is the best way to get the estimated time the IRS will release your refund.

What if the irs WMR system tells you it's expected to be deposited on a Sunday. I can't get any info on this and why this says that's when I can expect it is beyond me. Help plz

Some banks do not post deposits on Sundays.

The IRS tells you to allow 1-5 days for the refund to post to your account. Have you done that?

@maeganandkori We do not know what "it" was that gave you a date of Feb. 23. The only reliable site to use is the IRS refund site. And....even that site tells you to allow up to five days after their date for the refund to post to your account. This is Sunday. It is unlikely that a deposit will post to your bank account on a Sunday.

TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
