      <description>&lt;P&gt;No, you do not amend your return. &amp;nbsp;Your son should amend his return, but you do not have to wait for him to do so. &amp;nbsp;You cannot e-file a return now that claims him as your dependent, though. &amp;nbsp;His SSN is already in the system, so now &lt;B&gt;you&lt;/B&gt; have to print, sign, and mail your return claiming him as a dependent.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
