      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you pay for your insurance premiums with &lt;B&gt;after-tax &lt;/B&gt;dollars, then yes, they would be a deductible expense if you itemize your deductions in the medical section.&amp;nbsp;&lt;B&gt;Pre-tax &lt;/B&gt;payments via payroll deductions would not be deductible.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The total medical expenses will need to exceed
10% (7.5% for those born before 1/2/52) of your AGI to receive a benefit. You
can always enter your medical expenses and TurboTax will determine if you meet
the thresholds.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
