If you have already e-filed your taxes and they have been accepted, then yes, it is too late. If you have recently e-filed your return and it is in pending status, wait until it's either accepted or rejected.

If rejected, simply open your return in TurboTax and go through the File section again to update your bank account before re-submitting your return (don't forget to also take care of whatever problem caused the rejection).
If accepted, you'll get your refund check in the mail.

If you have not e-filed your tax return yet, please follow the instructions below, on how to edit your direct deposit information:

Please sign-in to your TurboTax Online Account and then:

Select "Take me to my return"
Once you are in your return, select the file tab in the upper right hand section of the TurboTax screen
Once you have selected the file tab you will then see where you can edit your direct deposit information

Did you request to have your refund loaded on a Turbo Prepaid Visa Card? Or did you choose one of the other options?

What TurboTax shows you for a deposit date is just an estimate based on the fact that many refunds are issued within 21 days of the return being accepted. The IRS does not update TurboTax on the actual issue date of a specific refund. If you qualified for the Earned income credit or Additional Child Tax Credit here is more information about the PATH Act delay, but keep in mind that the IRS site for Where's my refund, https://www.irs.gov/refunds is the final authority.

As long as you have not efiled yet, you can set up your refund to be directly deposited in your bank account. Click file from the main menu and go through all the steps until you get to the screen where TurboTax asks how you would like to receive your refund. Simply choose direct deposit and enter your account and routing number.

I have not received my turbo tact card. I opted to have my refund sent to the card that turbo tax uses for direct deposit. After calling numerous numbers I can not reach the company that issues the cards it keeps saying they are not available to assist me. This is day 2 of me calling. What do I do from here?

If you lose your card or believe it to be stolen, log in to report it lost/stolen. Make sure you have your account number.

You can find your account number located at the bottom of your 1040 under the Refund section. See if there is an account number there. If there isn't, you will be receiving a paper check. You'll need to download/print your return first.

First, log into your account.

Once inside, scroll down to the bottom of the screen
On the section, Your tax returns & documents click on Show.
Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

TurboTax does not receive updates from the IRS once they have accepted your return. The IRS issues most refunds in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review. To find out where your refund is, first check your e-file status. If it's been processed and accepted, you can begin to track your refund at the IRS Where's My Refund? site. You'll need your Social Security number or ITIN, filing status, and the exact amount of your refund to check your status. The IRS will issue your refund when your return is approved.

If it has been more than 21 days since your return was accepted, You will need to contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 and follow the prompts for a live representative. The person that you speak with will have direct access to your tax return and be able to provide you with a status update.

When you call, make sure you have the following information:

tax year
social security number
filing status
exact refund amount

I want the IRS to have my direct deposit information, so corona stimulus money can be directly deposited into my account. I am not getting a tax refund so it won't allow me to enter the direct deposit information. Is there a work around for this????? Thanks for any help.....
