Did you already file and ask for a check? Then it's too late to change to direct deposit.

So how long does it take by mail? Also I want to make sure that I did it right and that my taxes are on their way. Am I missing anything ?

Then if it was Accepted, You can check your refund status at Where's My Refund. This is for your Federal Return.

No they won't start processing refunds until after Jan 23 and probably not until February.

Even though you can submit your efile to Turbo Tax they will just hold them until the IRS opens on Jan 23
