      <description>&lt;P&gt;May, maybe not.&amp;nbsp; The Other is for the Child and Dependent Care credit&amp;nbsp;or the Other Dependent Credit. This is because you cannot get the child tax credit for someone over 17 only the Other Dependent Credit.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, if she is still a qualifying because she is a student under 24, then it doesn't affect your EITC.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If she is over 24 or over 18 and not a student, then yes, it would affect your EITC because she is not a qualifying&amp;nbsp;child.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
