      <description>&lt;P&gt;So you had your last name updated to match your existing Social Security Number. The IRS matches the name
and social security number&amp;nbsp;&lt;U&gt;on your tax return&lt;/U&gt;&amp;nbsp;with the social security records.&amp;nbsp; They do not
match the name on the W-2 forms with the tax return itself, they match by SSN.&amp;nbsp;&lt;B&gt;Note: If the SSN on your form W-2 is incorrect you would need to contact your employer to request a corrected Form W-2 (W-2c).&lt;/B&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;As long as your name and SSN entered in the TurboTax program matches with what the Social Security Administration has on file, you will be fine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
