topic Can your refund go straight to the debit/credit card? in After you file

I may have used the wrong number when stating where I wanted my refund to go. I used my card's number and not my checking account's number. Will this affect where this will go or will it still end up in the account?

Once your return has been accepted it is too late to change your bank account information.

If you entered the card number instead of the account number your bank will reject the deposit and the IRS will then issue your refund as a check which takes about 2-4 weeks to receive.
