topic Tax Return Amending in After you file

I had originally filed my health insurance coverage to be from October 2016 to December 2016. I just received my 1095-B in the mail and it tells me I actually had coverage from August 2016 to December 2016. When I tried to amend this on TurboTax, the system tells me it detected no differences between my original and my amended return. Should I still continue with amending it or leave my return as is?

It is possible you qualified for an exemption and that is...

It is possible you qualified for an exemption
 and that is why
the change did not impact your return. Most people must have qualifying health
coverage or pay a fee for the months they or their dependents don’t have
insurance. But if you qualify for a health coverage exemption the fee is
waived. The exemption is
calculated on Form 8965, if you check your return.

 If
you did not have a non-coverage penalty, for the 8965, The 1095-B would not have impacted
your Premium Tax Credit on form 8962, as those details are not entered into the return. If the amount did not change, you do not need to take any action.

Here
is also a link to a tool with more information.

 click
here to go to the healthcare.gov exemption tool
