I noticed that my tax rate will increase on my social security if I work full time.

Is this something that I have to settle with the Feds at the end of the year, or will they take more taxes out of my social security on a monthly basis according to my income from my wages?

Hi. You may want to reach out to social security and ask them to take additional taxes out of your payment. If you don't have enough tax withheld during the year you may owe money when filing your tax return. Also, please be aware that if have not reached your full retirement age you may have to pay back some social security benefits received if your income is greater than $19,560 in 2022. Please refer to this link of the ssa.gov website:

https://www.ssa.gov/benefits/retirement/planner/whileworking

Please consider reaching out to social security so that you understand the income tax impact or potential social security repayment.

All the best,
