Will a tax expert be able to amend a mistake made in last years return.

Yes, we at TurboTax can help you amend your previous year’s tax return. You have two options to do so:

One way to amend your return is you can start preparing the amended tax return using the TurboTax software on your own and call us if you have any questions.
Another way is to use the TurboTax Live Full Service where a tax expert will be designated to amend your tax return. For the Full Service option, the tax expert will amend your 2021 tax return for you through 11/30/2022.

Please note that the IRS will only accept an amended return within three years of the date you filed the original return or within two years of the date you paid the tax amount that is due for that year, whichever is later. In addition, you will not be able to electronically file your amended return. You can prepare the amended return online, but you would be required to mail them to the IRS.
