Once a tax return has been e-filed it cannot be canceled, retrieved or changed.

The IRS will start accepting tax returns on and after January 27. If the return is rejected then you can make changes and re-file the tax return.

What identification numbers are you referring to?

Social Security numbers or an ITIN issued by the IRS has to be entered on the tax return or it could not be e-filed.

Employer Identification Numbers (EIN) on a W-2 has to be entered or the tax return could not be e-filed.
