If your filing status is Married Filing Separately, the IRS will that request his name and SSN be on your return. If he files the same way, they will ask him for your information. They do this to link your returns and ensure that neither of you are accidentally double-counting deductions, credits, income, etc.

For some reason this time it asks for his information. Why??? I've been using turbo tax for years, only difference is no kids, so now return denied. I don't want him ANYWHERE on my return.so now I have to fix it, by adding him???? What
