I selected no one can claim me as a dependent and Turbo Tax checked I can be claim as dependent

As the title says, I don't know what to do because I check "no" on the "can someone else claim you as a dependent" field, Yet in the tax return form it shows I can be claimed as a dependent and because of that when I called the IRS to ask about stimulus check and why my status had changed from eligible to not, they told me it was because I checked I can be claim as a dependent and that now I have to do an amended tax form and mail it to them unchecking that box. The problem is when I go to personal info in the amended section of turbo tax, it is already checked no one can claim me as a dependent, therefore I cannot change the info. What am I supposed to do?

You go to My Info and change your answer to the interview question that asks if you can be claimed as someone else's dependent. You have to click edit by your name and go through the questions. And..you are still unlikely to receive a stimulus check this year even if you go through all the aggravation of amending your return. It is taking the IRS months to process amended returns so your chances of the IRS processing your Form 1040X and sending a stimulus check this year are not good. You will be able to get the stimulus money on your tax return for 2020 when you file it in 2021 if you are not someone's dependent for 2020.
