Can’t efile

I can’t efile and need to do a amended return through the mail, how do I get a refund from turbo tax of my $100?!

You are confused. If you are unable to e-file, that means you have not sent in a tax return. Amending is not the way to fix your problem. Amending is a special process you only use to correct mistakes on a return that has been filed, accepted, and fully processed. The IRS did not get your return. Do not click on anything that says amend.

If you already clicked on "amend" you need to get out of that.

Then tell us why you could not e-file. Was your return rejected?

Some rejected returns can be fixed and re-filed. Some have “un-fixable” reasons for the rejection and have to be mailed instead.

You received a rejection email that we cannot see. Please tell us word for word what it says so we know how to help you. Or even copy and paste the email message.

Or did you receive some sort of error message when you tried to e-file?

Because of my IP pin number I did not receive it how do I retrieve it that’s why is rejecting me because I don’t have that pin a six digit pin to the Senate they sent me but I never received it because I don’t live at that address anymore how do I retrieve this pin

If you have not mailed it yet you can try to switch to efile.
In TurboTax Online, sign in to your account.
Select Tax Home in the left menu.
Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.
Select 2020, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this just gets you back into your return).
