Hello,

I recieved a 5071C letter.

Every time I try to verify my identity it doesn't work.

I dont know what to do.

Please help.

On your letter if you are unable to verify your identity online, it will have a phone number so you can verify over the phone.

How long after identity verification with irs from February 24th will i recieve my refund. I verify it and was cleared by irs they say 9 weeks from February 24.however is it shorter when u have direct deposit

The IRS adds a week for mailing thus with direct deposit it should not be more than 8 weeks unless they find something else.

Understanding Your Letter 5071C or 6331C: states: What happens after I successfully verify?

If we successfully verify your identity, we’ll process your tax return. It will take up to 9 weeks to receive your refund or credit any overpayment to your account. However, if we find other problems, we’ll contact you again. This will delay your refund more.
