My refund

I put in my refund for 2021, It was done the same as 2020. I resent my 2021 information. I did an amend on it. How long does it take to get my taxes back?

An amended return is not filed until after the original is completely finished and all checks have cleared the banks. If your original was complete and then you filed the amended return, you can expect it to take about 10 months. The IRS is ramping up and hiring more employees so that time frame should go down.

If you e-filed an amended return before your original was finished, you will have to wait and see what the IRS does and when.

I never received the refund. It was rejected. I reattached my 2021 income taxes because it was done the same as my 2020 taxes. Apparently it was duplicated. My 2020 taxes were over $4,000. My 2021 taxes were over $10,000.

You are saying that your was rejected so you fixed it and filed again, no amended return. If your return was accepted it, you can track your refund at Where’s My Refund? It updates once a day. A refund with no stimulus and no children takes about 3 weeks to process. If you have kids or stimulus claimed, add another 3 weeks for processing.
