Hi

I originally prepared my return in Turbotax by importing my 1099, but I haven't filed yet. How do I import a CORRECTED 1099 to overwrite the old 1099 ? Or do I need to delete the previous 1099 entries that I originally imported first?

If you can't pull up your 1099 and overwrite the corrected fields yourself, you can delete the 1099 and import the corrected one. To do this you can follow these steps:

Within your return in TurboTax Online search for 1099-XXX.

Click the Jump to link in the search results.

If you get to a 1099 summary screen, delete the 1099 income line you want to correct with the trash can icon.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen.

Click on Delete a Form.

Scroll down to your 1099 and click Delete if it is still there.

On a MAC, you first need to switch to the Forms Mode . In the left menu column, choose the 1099 form you want to delete. Then, click on Open Form on the top menu bar.

From the Forms menu, choose the Remove (form name) option.
