If using Turbo Tax from a CD and electronically file can Turbo Tax verify IRS accepted it? I got both a rejection notice and email saying accepted from TurboTax! No one seems to have the answer and cannot get in touch with IRS!

When you get the email that says IRS has accepted your return, it means little more than they got it. Sometime later, after their computers run some checks, they may reject the return if something in your return fails to match what they expected. You then get the email that says "rejected." That happened to me last year for something relatively trivial, but nothing is trivial to a computer. Regardless, all you have to do is make whatever correction the rejection indicates, and MAIL the amended return.

This Turbo Tax FAQ will show you how to check your e-file status, as this is something we will not know. You will also receive an email advising you of the return being accepted or rejected. If you opted in for text messages, you will receive that also.

How do I check my e-file status?
https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/return-status/help/how-do-i-check-my-e-file-status/00/25538
