Amending a Tax Return

So I've been having issues with amending my return. This is my first year filing and recently received a document I needed to add. I've started the process, but once I get to the end to select a payment method, I insert my information and it doesn't go on to the next step to sign and file the amendment. It sends me back to adding my payment information.

Taxes owed with a Amended return needs to be sent by check or pay on the IRS and/or State website. Choose to pay your taxes owed by check, that should get you through to e-file.

You can send in your payment with a payment voucher (1040-V), or for Federal you can go to the IRS website, to pay online.

For State, you can check your State's website for payment options.
