How to terminate small business under my SSN

Turbotax support,

I used to do Uber business under my SSN and filed Uber income on my tax return for the past few years.

But I stopped doing Uber in 2021 and will not go back into that business any more. How do I terminate this business filing on my tax return or anywhere in Turbotax that I can mark there is no more business income under my SSN for tax return filing ?

I am assuming you need to report some income for 2021 for Uber? If so you can indicate in the General info section of the self-employment interview that you stopped doing the work in 2021.

To find that question:

Select Federal on the left side menu.
Under Wages & Income, find Self-employment income and expenses.
Select Start/Edit to the right.
On the screen titled, Your 2021 self-employed work summary, select Edit to the right of your self-employment entry.
Scroll down to General info.
Select Edit under Stopped work in 2021.
Select I stopped business in 2021, click Continue.
Select None of these apply, and click Continue.

If you don't have any Uber income to report in 2021, you can delete the whole section:

From inside the return, scroll down to Tax Tools on the bottom of the left side menu.
Select Tools.
Click on Delete a form (third on the list at the bottom of the screen).
Find Schedule C on the list of forms.
Click Delete to the right.
Confirm your Delete.
Click Continue in the lower right.
Click Continue with my return.
