I make too much to obtain any stimulus..

was wondering, if I have an 18 yr old who does not work

if he files a tax return ( no w2 or any forms for that matter since just a student)

can he get a stimulus check

I will not claim him as a dependent and he will state that no one will claim him as dependent

Yes, he can file a return as long as you do not claim him to get the recovery rebate. He will just need to enter the Personal Info questions then go to the Federal Review section and enter $0 for amount of 3rd stimulus received.

The return will need to be printed and mailed since there is no income included on the return.
