I’m concerned about data security given the increase of well known servers being hacked and personal data being used for illegal purposes.
When I e-file my 2021 IRS return does my transmission go directly to IRS or does my transmission go to Intuit servers first and then to the IRS?

If you are using the online software then you are already entering your return into the Intuit servers. If you are using the desktop program then your return is sent to the Intuit servers and then to the IRS.
